Although the Smartronics Manufacturing company is newly established in March 2023, We have been building Desktops since 1997 and Laptops since 2005. We have sold and shipped over 45,000 laptops into over 85 countries since 2005 through previous companies. We don't ship internationally as we have in past years, we keep our focus here in the USA since 2016.
We start with a base model from Clevo and add top performance components and then install the Windows Operating System and customize the software setup for your special applications. Clevo is based in Taiwan, and is a leader in the laptop computer industry, Clevo does not sell to the public, they sell to system builders who use their own brand names. This Wikipedia Link will show a few examples of some popular companies who build laptop computers using Clevo barebone/white box systems. "White Box" descriptions are usually mis-represented online with the use of words like "non-branded" "Non-Teir 1" and "Home Built". Truthfully, most very well known brands, huge companies, that actually use an ODM supplier for their laptops. I wont name specific names, but as one example, one of the largest computer companies with a 4 letter name that begins with "D", uses a Taiwan ODM supplier for all of their laptops as well. Only 4 or 5 ODM Manufacturers actually sell their laptops under their own brand, (like MSI and Asus), the rest sell to System Integrators, or System Builders.
